Mealtime Success Planner
I created this planner because I know how overwhelming meals and snacks can feel - especially if your child only eats certain foods, eats all the snacks in the house but no proper meals, or feels overwhelmed by too many choices. As a dietitian and feeding therapist, I use this exact tool with the families I support in my practice. The Visual Meal and Snack Planner helps set up the Division of Responsibility in feeding: you decide what's on offer, they decide what and how much they want to eat from the options available.
What it is:
Blank, flexible templates you can adapt to your own family
Use them separately or together to plan meals and snacks
Write straight onto the template, or if your child does better with visuals, use the included Canva link to add pictures
Fully printable and reusable
You need this if you want to:
Set boundaries with flexibility: Decide what’s on offer for the day or week, which helps with budgeting and giving kids clear choices.
Support your anxious eaters I recommend using 1–2 'safe' foods plus 1 new food -this planner makes it simple for kids to see what’s coming and feel reassured.
Prevent endless snacking: Keeps grazing under control so your child is actually hungry for dinner.
Help your ADHD and neurodivergent kids: Makes it easy to rotate foods and reduce food jags so they don’t burn out on one item.
Help your child who finds choosing what to eat in the moment challenging - this is common with neurodivergent and PDA kids. This planner gives choice without the overwhelm of too many options.
This planner isn’t just a template - it’s a tool I’ve designed and tested with families like yours to make feeding feel easier.
